Organization: Mission Statement

Mission Statement
Revitalizing neighborhoods by empowering community leaders.

Throughout California, many concerned men and women desire to bring
renewal to their communities.

Often, they lack all of the tools required to do so.

The purpose of the Community Renewal Project is to provide these motivated citizens with the tools they need to enact the change they desire.

By empowering local leaders with the skills, knowledge, and relationships necessary to run effective community-renewing programs, we aim to inspire hope, cultivate character, and foster lasting prosperity in struggling neighborhoods throughout California.

We feel that too often community-building programs and ideas fail or fall short due to a lack of knowledge and support. We recognize that governmental programs are unable to address all the needs in our neighborhoods. Therefore, it is our desire to promote and support community-based programs along with the inspirational members of the community who run them. We believe that when neighbors help neighbors with support from both the public and private sector, we can rebuild both distressed neighborhoods and people's lives.

Making A Difference

Organized in 2000, the Community Renewal Project increased its presence through California's diverse communities by hosting conferences that bring faith, community, business and elected leaders together to enhance their efforts to strengthen their communities.
