Partners: Our Success Is Their Involvement

One of the guiding principles and purpose of the Community Renewal Summit is that partnerships are key in revitalizing and strengthening communities.

There are several types of partnerships – legislative, sponsor and community – that are key to the development of the Community Renewal Summit, and to its ongoing success.

We create a forum to bridge the gap between local community leaders and Legislative leaders on developing effective programs and partnerships that will lead to community renewal and revitalization.

Together we are sharing success. Practical "blueprints" for renewal are presented by people who have developed some of California's best programs.

The CRP hosts educational and networking conferences and summits in partnership with Members of the California State Legislature.

How We Started

It all started with hopes of growing and encouraging community renewal efforts in California’s inner city and other specially challenged communities.

Assemblyman Tim Leslie and Senator Ray Haynes launched the first annual Community Renewal Summit in November of 2000.
